Founded in 1972 under the impetus of a pharmacist, Doctor Chabrand, Biolane was born from the desire to design sufficiently mild and natural products specific for the delicate skin of babies.
50 years on, our mission remains the same, to place all our expertise and pharmaceutical quality at the service of the well-being of babies, while helping their parents along the way.

Launch of Biolane Expert in pharmacies

Our mission
Biolane’s mission is to help parents from the birth of their child, with a comprehensive, natural and safe hygiene and skincare range that they can trust in to protect their baby’s skin while protecting nature.

Our products are the fruit of 50 years’ hindsight into babies’ skin, produced in accordance with pharmaceutical quality standards.
We select the mildest active ingredients the most suitable for your baby’s skin, at the right dose, to offer you safe and minimalist formulas.
Their high-tolerance is approved by tests under dermatological or paediatric supervision.
This is why Biolane is recommended by Midwives & Pediatricians, and is present in 80% of maternity wards in France.
Naturalness
From the creation of Biolane, the naturalness of the formulas was at the centre of Dr Chabrand’s vision. Today, more than ever, our products are gentle for babies and gentle for the planet.
Natural or organic formulas with 95% of ingredients of natural origin on average.
Thanks to a demanding formulation charter and raw material testing, all our products are rated good to excellent on Yuka (number 1 ingredient screening application in France). Our formulas contain no harmful active ingredients.
Our products are designed and formulated in our laboratory in Vendée; and are manufactured in our factory for a greater safety.

1972-2022: Biolane has been alongside babies from their first instants of life for 50 years. 50 years’ existence, and millions of births and generations of parents who put their trust in us, and babies who in turn became parents themselves…

Biolane moments are all those daily moments, from birth, or whatever your baby’s requirements, Biolane is there at bath time, during the hygiene routine, for nappy care and skin care.
Biolane moments are also moments of complicity, on the journey into parenthood. Massaging baby to soothe them, burying your nose in their neck to breathe in their smell a hundred times over, laughing out loud during a fun bath but also sometimes feeling helpless faced with baby’s crying or asking yourself a bunch of questions before going to sleep, to only end up woken up in the morning by a cheeky smile!
Biolane moments, are moments of trust, when parents can focus on the essential, their baby’s development, at a key time of their life.

Our identity is changing to highlight our underlying themes that are expertise, naturalness and softness, and which have guided 50 years of development.
A logo with a darker blue tone, text printed in a rounder shape and a symbol suggesting protection from nature: a baby jumping out of the box, leaving room for white and space…
Coloured shapes bring playfulness and warmth to Biolane products. These organic shapes suggest both naturalness, by their resemblance to large leaves, but also the cheekiness of childhood.
To clarify our offer, the range has been redesigned with a colour code. Blue for bathtime, pink for the hygiene routine, yellow for diaper change and green for the care routine.
